New Year’s Spread!
For this spread, I went rogue and used both Oracle and tarot cards. I’ve listed each deck with the card, so if you want to look them up, you can.
Card 1: Top left, placed with a moonstone
Card Revealed: #29 Seeing the True You
Deck: The Sacred Rebels Oracle
2025 was filled with people and businesses telling you who you are. Like a marathon of fun house mirrors, each being held it up and claimed vehemently that THIS is who you are. In 2026, it’s time to look honestly and graciously upon who you truly are. Embrace who you are with grace and understanding. This card is inviting you to see yourself for the powerful being you are, and calling you to embrace that person. Open your eyes to your real reflection, without comparison or cruelty, and believe that you are whole and, and good, and that the real you is a sight to behold.
Card #2: Top middle placed with desert rose
Card Revealed: The 4 of Cups
Deck: Thoth Tarot
In the Rider Waite tradition of tarot, the four of cups signifies a sort of melancholy; as if the seeker has gotten all they want and still the world holds no joy. In the Thoth Tradition - the card holds a brighter energy.
In the Thoth tradition, melancholy is exchanged for stability. As a seeker, you may have been through an emotional rollercoaster; or maybe your metaphorical seas have been choppy. Here, you have reached calm waters. In this card, which carries the word, “Luxury”, there is stability and emotional peace. Now is the time, dear seeker, to breathe and express gratitude for how far you’ve come.
Card: Top right corner, hematite crystal
Card revealed: The Queen of Disks
Deck: The Iris Sacra tarot deck
This is a very industrious card; the Queen of Disks is the maternal epitome of the earth element. She often indicates material security, and possibly a grounding energy for those beginning new ventures.
She is also, I should note, highly maternal and nurturing almost to a fault. The Queen of Disks can warn of a propensity for giving too much of oneself to people or obligations that do not have the seeker’s best interests in mind. If you got this card, remember this, because it’s cliche for a reason: do not set yourself on fire just to keep others warm.
Card 4: Bottom left, placed with unknown blue crystal
Card Revealed: The 6 of Pentacles
Deck: The Goddess Tarot
This card is the incarnation of true generosity; she is all about giving and not receiving. She gives without fear of lack on her part. This card is a reminder that it is okay to give of yourself - donate to a cause, pay for a friend’s coffee, share a bit of art with someone you haven’t before - do it because there is a joy inherent in the giving, and therein lies your prosperity. Trust that as you take care of minor needs and cares, your needs and wants are cared for. Enjoy the process of giving of yourself and helping another person.
Card 5: Bottom Middle, placed with lapis lazuli
Card Revealed: #22 Transition
Deck: Moon Temple Oracle
This is a card about change and adaptation. It’s the aftermath of a storm; the terrifying place between who you were prior to your life changing, and who you will be moving forward. Sometimes the catalyst is grief, pain, fear, loss. Sometimes it’s something broken, and now you must choose to heal and to grow and to adapt. The catalyst can be a disruption; and the place that comes after is like a two lane highway in the dead of night. No roadsigns, no indicators at all for what happens next. Keep going, trust the clear road before you.
Card 6: Bottom Right, jasper stone
Card Revealed: Still Winds, Kundalini
Deck: Maidens of the Wheel Oracle
Our brains crave stimulation and interaction. Constantly, we receive input from all sides. Yet this card calls for stillness. No need for fancy meditations, special music , nothing. Just a moment where all you do is be still. Breathe into that moment, embrace it, and release it. Meditation can be done in moments, and built upon moment by moment like individual bricks brought together to form a foundation. Let this card be an invitation to stillness. No special circumstances. Nothing needed. Just you, and your willingness to just be for a moment.
